Photo Etched is an excellent choice for more complex designs that show very intricate detail. The type of metal used to make this pin allows for color and text to stand out vibrantly.

How they are made

The pins are made when a negative is taken from black and white artwork. Next, the image is burned into metal using an acid-reaction process and then carefully cleaned. The colors are added by hand and fired at temperatures of over 500 degrees for 15 minutes. This process leaves the pins with a very smooth detailed finish. After that, pins are cut out of the sheet with the shape of your custom design. All the raised sections on the pins are then plated to a shiny gold finish.
You may choose to have an epoxy covering added to the pin to give it a glossy shine and keep the colors from fading or cracking over time.
